The Amsterdam Centre for Constitutional Culture & Democratic Governance conducts leading research on the democratic rule of law, constitutional culture, and the relationship between citizens and the government. This research continually responds to emerging societal developments. Consider questions such as: Can courts impose obligations on the State to meet climate targets? Under what conditions may the government use algorithms in its decision-making? And what would be required to establish a constitutional court?
