ACCU invites interested researchers working in the field of (comparative) constitutional and administrative law, constitutional and legal culture, democratic governance and related fields to apply for a self-funded research stay at the centre. On this page, find information on how to apply and a list of former visitors. Precedence is given to research projects closely linked to the ACCU research programme and its faculty's expertise.

Visiting researchers will be part of the ACCU research community. They receive

  • access to all ACCU activities

  • access to the (digital) library of the University of Amsterdam
  • access to the UvA electronic system
  • working space, depending on availability 

Visitors are expected to

  • actively engage in ACCU activities

  • give a presentation on (the findings of) their research project
  • mention ACCU in any publications resulting from or having worked on during their stay

 

Applying for a research stay

Please send the following documents to j.uzman@uva.nl:

  • letter of motivation including indication of timing and length of stay
  • Short description of research project,

  • CV, including publication track record

The decision will be based on the quality of the application and is dependent on the availability of working space for the desired period.

Please apply before 1 October for stays during January-June of the following year. 

Please apply before 1 May for stays during September-December of the same year.

Please note: The stays are self-funded. No support can be given on housing.
